With the goal of incorporating an element of RPG into the game we feel it necessary to outline the 'level grinding' that will be involved for the game. We want to make it so that the player has to earn their way through the system, and the process will not be instantly gratifying to a player other than a good action element. Here is the level items we are proposing:

Starting Out

Your player is coming in from off the boats that are slowly arriving of refugees of other islands and mainland cities that have been devastated by the war. You start with the cash you had on you when you left your home and a simple weapon and small collection of ammo. With a clean background and a fledgling reputation, you can only get small level jobs from the work center. These will include ferrying other civilians to starting cities, ferrying supplies, working guard duties, retrieving designated vehicles, and more. With an ambitious idea, a bit of spare time, and a plan we begin the work.

The concept is to have a basic 'kill the zombie' missions with some elements of RPG, Warfare, and a good storyline built in. The original idea we had was to have a simple mission based game that had repeatable circle of missions that was similar to the Quarantine (Q) and Quarantine Unleashed (QU). The idea began to evolve very quickly into much more than that. After having played the same style of mission as QU for several weeks we all began to bore of it. No matter what small details we changed it never seemed to be challenging enough or long enough to hold the interest of the team. The requirement for teamwork was limited to one or two missions and the rest of the mission cycle was repetitious.

Our plan was to begin all over again instead of try to convert the existing Q or QU missions into the new format. We made it to the point of stripping the mission down to its barest components. What we were left with was:
